or one of the Office XP programs listed in the "Applies to" section of this
article) on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft
Windows 98 Second Edition, you may receive an error message that is similar to
the following: Error 25506. Microsoft Office XP requires
updated system files not detected on your computer. You must install the System
Files Update prior to installing Office. C:\WINDOWS\HH.EXE is version
4.72.7322.0 when we require version 4.73.8412.0. Microsoft Office Setup did not complete
successfully. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

XP or one of its programs that does not include Microsoft Internet Explorer 5

error messages listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Microsoft Internet Explorer
6 or later on your computer, and then install Office XP or one of its
