SYMPTOMS

When you run the bcp command to import data from a text file to a table, the bulk copy program (BCP) may not import the data successfully.

This problem occurs when all the following conditions are true:
  • The text file is larger than 32 megabytes (MB).
  • The text file contains information in a language that uses the double-byte character set (DBCS) such as Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.
  • You run the BCP utility on a computer that has Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 installed.
