Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry On This PageSYMPTOMSYou may not be able to connect to a Microsoft Windows 2000 Terminal server if your Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services license has expired. You may also receive an error message on the Windows 2000 Terminal Server similar to the following: EventID: 1011 Source: TermService Description: The terminal server client T2KPRO1 has been disconnected because its temporary license has expired. In some situations, you may be able to log on to the Windows 2000 Terminal server with an expired Windows 2003 Terminal Services license. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix.
