On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you log off from a Terminal Services session on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, Windows may stop unexpectedly. You may receive an error message that is similar to the following: STOP: 0x00000050 (Parameter 1, Parameter 2, Parameter 3, Parameter 4)PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA CAUSEThis problem occurs when the Win32k driver cleans up its internal structure during the Terminal Services session logoff, and the clean up is not completed correctly. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
