SYMPTOMS

When a program calls the AuthzInitializeContextFromSid function on your Microsoft Windows 2000 Server-based computer, you may receive the following error result:
ERROR_NO_SUCH_DOMAIN

CAUSE

This issue occurs because there is an error in the Authz.dll code. Because of this error, the DsGetDcName function is called with a string that is not null-terminated.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
