Your Microsoft Windows 2000-based multiprocessor computer may quit unexpectedly, and then you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
STOP: 0x0000001a (Parameter, Parameter, Parameter, Parameter) MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
This problem occurs because an internal table can be modified by two threads at the same time on a multiprocessor computer. In this scenario, the internal table is corrupted.
Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
