SYMPTOMS

When trying to close an opportunity with the estimated revenue set to “User Provided” and no revenue amount is specified, you receive the following error message:

An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current Web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

The opportunity will close without error if a revenue amount is specified.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
