SYMPTOMS

If you stop and then restart the Line Printer Daemon (LPD) service, the next time that you send a print job from a Line Printer Remote (LPR) client, the client receives the following error message:
Error: print server did not accept request. Job aborted.
The print job does not print.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information
