This article describes how to install, start, and use the Microsoft CRM Mobile Certificate Diagnostics Tool to troubleshoot certificate installation.

The Microsoft® Business Solutions CRM Mobile Certificate Diagnostics Tool is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center. With the certificate diagnostics tool, you can determine whether the server certificate is installed correctly on the server and the mobile device, and identify problems that will prevent mobile devices from connecting to the Microsoft CRM server.

PrerequisitesTo install this tool, you must have Microsoft CRM version 1.2 and Microsoft CRM Mobile version 1.2 installed. In addition, you must connect your device to your Microsoft CRM server, and establish a partnership with the device on the server by using Microsoft ActiveSync® version 3.7.1 or later.

Restart requirementYou do not have to restart your computer after you install this tool.
Removal informationTo remove this tool, delete the CertDiag.exe file from the folder you specified when you extracted the files.
File informationThe English version of this tool has the file attributes that are listed in the following table. The date and time for this file are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
