On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you try to use the Dsquery command-line tool with the -p parameter to specify a password on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer or Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive the following error message: Invalid Parameter (error 87) WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue in Windows 2000, use Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) with Windows 2000. RESOLUTIONWindows Server 2003 hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
