Bug #: 471384 (SQL Server 8.0) On This PageSYMPTOMSIn Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), the MSSQLServer service exits unexpectedly, and does not write an error to the Errorlog file. The MSSQLServer also does not write an entry in the event logs except for the following entry: The MSSQLServer service terminated unexpectedly. Additionally, the MSSQLServer service does not write dump files or gather information by using the Dr. Watson diagnostic tool.RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
