SYMPTOMSIf you use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel to view a list of currently installed programs, some of the hotfixes may be indicated by a Microsoft Windows Media Player icon. This issue may occur with hotfixes that are downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site. Note This issue occurs only on the Spanish language versions of the operating systems that are listed in the "Applies to" section. CAUSEThis issue occurs because an anomaly in the algorithm that is used to assign icons does not assign the correct icon to indicate a Windows hotfix. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft
products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. MORE INFORMATIONThis issue does not affect the functionality of the
