How to obtain the latest service packs for Exchange Server 2003
Turn on the RenderMDNsAsMessages registry valueAfter you install Exchange Server 2003 SP1, you can then turn on the RenderMDNsAsMessages registry value on your Exchange server. After this registry value is turned on, subsequent MDN receipts are processed using the standard e-mail message format of IPM.note.Note By default, this setting is turned off and will use the report format that replaces the e-mail message body with the standard MDN receipt text. Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1. MORE INFORMATIONIn Exchange 2003, the e-mail message body of the MDN receipt is changed because multipart/report messages are converted to the corresponding MAPI reports. The available MAPI reports include read receipts, non-read receipts, delivery receipts, and non-delivery receipts. | Article Translations
