SYMPTOMS

If you have an IEEE 1394 disk drive that is connected to two computers at the same time, you may not be able to access the contents of the drive from one of those computers. On this computer, Windows Explorer may show the drive with a red question mark (?) over the drive's icon. Typically, only the last computer to detect the drive can access the contents of the drive.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, connect the IEEE 1394 disk drive only to the computer that you want to use to access the contents of the drive.
