SYMPTOMS

When Active Directory Services Interface (ADSI) performs searches against multiple Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) servers that have different schemas, the searches may not succeed.

This problem may occur when one or more of the LDAP servers are a third-party server. Microsoft Windows 2000 does not maintain separate schema caches for different instances of a remote LDAP server. Therefore, the schema cache file is overwritten by the schema information from the last LDAP server.

Hotfix information
