UNIX, the following event is logged every 10 minutes to the system event log: Type: Information CAUSE This problem may occur after you install the Microsoft security update MS04-011. Security update MS04-011 contains a regression from an earlier hotfix that is described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 827684.
After you install MS04-011, the computer tries to mount the Sysvol folder every 10 minutes. If the Windows 2000-based computer is not a domain controller, the mount does not work. The Sysvol folder only exists on domain controllers. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix. Share the folder as SYSVOL$, and
assign read only permissions to the folder. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
