Microsoft <Application Name> cannot load the Microsoft Office shared libraries. Collapse this image ![]() Or The Application <Name of Application> could not be launched because of a shared library error: '<Microsoft <Name of Application><><><>'" "Microsoft <Application Name>><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>" CAUSEThis problem may occur if the office applications have been duplicated or moved. The shared Library error which includes a reference to CarbonLib may be an indication that the CarbonLib file in Mac OS X is damaged or corrupted. RESOLUTIONMETHOD 1 Step 1: Quit all programs and close all windows You must quit all programs before you proceed performing steps in this article. To close a program, select the program on the toolbar (top), and then select Quit. If you cannot quit a program or do not know how, hold down the Command and Option keys, and then press Esc on your keyboard. Select the program in the "Force Quit Application" window, and then select Force Quit. Click Force Quit to quit the program. Note You cannot quit Finder.
