How to back up and restore the registry in Windows If you modify the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main registry subkey, you can turn on these additional columns. When you modify the registry subkey, you must add the ManageAddonColumns DWORD value. Each Managed Add-ons column is associated with a hexadecimal number. However, you cannot use the keyboard to turn on these columns in Internet Explorer. Keyboard users must modify the registry to turn these columns on.
