Article ID: 842707 - Last Review: November 21, 2006 - Revision: 5.2 FIX: Changes to the member properties structure in SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services can cause incorrect results or service failuresBug #: 14347 (Plato7x) On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you have made structural changes to the member properties of a dimension in Analysis Services, the following behavior may occur:
CAUSEWhen structural changes are made to the member properties of a dimension in Analysis Services, the server must rebuild the member properties for the dimension. If a member exists in the multidimensional OLAP (MOLAP) dimension structure, but the relational source record for the dimension member no longer exists, the member properties for that member cannot be retrieved. Therefore, the dimension member structure and the member properties structure are no longer synchronized, and the behavior that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section occurs.
