The custom picklist field is set to NULL by default on Quote records created from the Opportunity form in Microsoft CRM 1.2

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft CRM 1.2, after you create and add a custom picklist field to the Quote form and publish the changes, you create an associated quote from the Opportunity form. The custom picklist field on the Quote form is set to NULL in the database even though it looks as if it is correctly set on the Quote form.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
