The Alerts feature sends you an e-mail message to notify you when content in that area changes. When you open the e-mail message, you notice that it contains an incorrect URL to the My Site personal site of the portal site.
The name of the server is incorrectly displayed two times in the URL. CAUSEThis issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
RESOLUTIONThis problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest SharePoint Portal Server 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.
