Directory directory service objects on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based domain
controller, the names of the objects that have a distinguished name
(also known as DN) that is longer than 128 characters appear to be reduced to 128
characters in the search result. For example, when you create a Trace
Log to monitor Active Directory events, the names of the objects that
have a distinguished name that is longer than 128 characters in Active Directory appear to be
reduced to 128 characters in the log file.
RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
