Issue

Visual Basic ActiveX Run Time error 429 'ActiveX component can't create object.' occurs on Microsoft Access 2000 databases after upgrading to Version 7.0.

Resolution

This information comes from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 319841

DAO Is Not Properly Registered. Click on the Start Button, and choose Run. Enter the following string:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"

Reboot, to verify the registry change has been accepted, and Access 2000 should now work properly.
