Issue

Error - "Login failed for user sa. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection" occurs when attempting connect to a database in Store Operations..

Resolutions

Resolution 1

1. Launch Enterprise Manager, then right click on the server name and choose Properties.

2. Then click on the Security tab and verify that the radio button under Authentication is set to SQL Server and Windows.

3. If Windows only is chosen, change it to SQL Server and Windows and click OK.

4. Stop and start SQL service to refresh the new settings.

5. Attempt to connect to your database in Store Operations.

Resolution 2

1. Launch Enterprise Manager, then right click on the server name and choose Edit SQL Registration Properties.

2. Find the radio buttons labeled, Use Windows Authentication and Use SQL Server Authentication.

3. Click Use SQL Server Authentication if this option was not previously selected, then click OK.

4. Stop and start SQL service to refresh the new settings.

5. Attempt to connect to your database in Store Operations.
