After you customize the window size, the window position, or both of a program in Microsoft Windows XP, the custom settings are not retained when you deploy the Windows XP image to other computers by using the SysPrep tool. For example, you may customize the window size for Control Panel.
This problem occurs when the computer name of the computer that is receiving the Windows XP image is different from the computer name in the deployed image.
