On This PageSYMPTOMSIf your computer is running third-party firewall software, such as Zone Labs ZoneAlarm Pro, the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET IDE may stop responding when you try to create a Web application. CAUSEIf you use third-party firewall software, the firewall software may prevent Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) from starting correctly. Therefore, you cannot create a Web application when your firewall software is running. WORKAROUNDTurn off the firewall application when you create a Web application by using Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio .NET.
