Issues that are fixed in FrontPage 2003 by Office 2003 Service Pack 1

Office 2003 SP1 fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Typing of characters in Design mode may be slow

When you type characters in Design mode in FrontPage 2003, the input of your typed characters may be slow.

You cannot save to a WebDAV server

When you try to save in FrontPage 2003 to a secure Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) server, the save does not occur, and the Save As dialog box appears again.

A broken hyperlink occurs when a URL is created from the Database Results Region

When you create a hyperlink from a data value that is contained in the Database Results Region, the resulting URL is contained in single quotation marks and causes the hyperlink to be broken.

A WebBot component causes extra line spacing

When you add a WebBot component to a Web page in FrontPage 2003, FrontPage 2003 may rewrite the HTML code. If FrontPage 2003 rewrites the HTML code, it can cause extra line spacing and the Web page renders incorrectly.

You cannot include an Active Server Pages (ASP) page in another ASP page

When you try to include an ASP page in another ASP page, you receive the following error message:

When you try to copy and modify a data source from a Web page that is in a subWeb, FrontPage 2003 may quit unexpectedly.

A Microsoft Office document opens as read-only when you open the document from a document library

When you try to open an Office document that is contained in a document library, and then you click Edit in, the document opens as read-only.

The Advanced view of an XML page subview is blank on a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web site

When you create a new subview for an XML page that is contained on a Windows SharePoint Services Web site, and then you click Filter on the Data menu, you receive the following message: When you click Advanced in the message, the view is blank.
