Article ID: 873043 - Last Review: November 15, 2007 - Revision: 2.3 Virtual memory utilization of the aspnet_wp process may increase steadily until IIS recycles the process on Commerce Server 2002
On This PageSYMPTOMSVirtual memory utilization of the aspnet_wp process may increase steadily until Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0 (IIS) recycles the process. You can monitor this process by viewing the virtual byte utilization in Perfmon. The virtual byte utilization should not continually increase. When this problem occurs, the virtual byte utilization approaches the 2 gigabyte (GB) or 3 GB limit that is configured for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 process. CAUSEThe Profile service is leaking multiple Rockall heaps. This problem may occur if a site refresh task is updating critical Web files such as the Global.asax file and the Web.config file. The update causes an IIS 6.0 application domain reset.
