SYMPTOMS

An access violation may occur in Lsass.exe when the KerbAddCacheResult function accesses an array that is beyond the boundary on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based domain controller. The domain controller may unexpectedly restart.

RESOLUTION

Update to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Service Pack 1. Otherwise, install the hotfix described in the "Hotfix information" section.
