The recognition results and the correction option are unavailable in Windows XP Tablet PC Input Panel

When you use the writing pad in Tablet PC Input Panel to convert handwritten text, the recognition results and the correction option are not available before you send the text to the target insertion point.

The recognition results and the correction option are not available when the Automatically insert text after a pause check box is selected on the Writing Pad tab.

Additionally, if the Automatically insert individual characters after a pause check box is selected, the recognition results and the correction option do not appear when you enter single characters in Tablet PC Input Panel.

To restore the recognition results and the correction option, follow these steps:

1. Open Tablet PC Input Panel.
2. Tap the Tools and Options icon. (This icon looks similar to a gear.) Then, tap Options.
3. Tap the Writing Pad tab.
4. Tap to clear the Automatically insert text after a pause check box.
5. Tap Apply, and then tap OK.
