INTRODUCTION

This article contains a list of the file formats that are supported in the Microsoft Works word processor, spreadsheet, database, and calendar modules.

To open a file in a specific format in Works, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Open.

    Note In the Works 7.0 calendar module, click Import.
  2. In the Files of Type box, click the format of the file that you want to open.
  3. Locate the file that you want, click the file that you want, and then click Open.
To save a file in a specific format in Works 7.0, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Save As.
