SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 or Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Setup failed while registering Wspadmin.dll

Details: The function My_LoadLibrary failed at the function Registrator::RegisterComContro

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you try to install ISA Server on a computer where a previous installation of one of the following programs is not completely removed:
•Microsoft ISA Server 2004
•A pre-release version of ISA Server 2004
•Microsoft ISA Server 2000

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove the remnants or the previous Proxy Server installation, and then re-install ISA Server 2006 or ISA Server 2004.
