This article describes how to register Microsoft Works by using a Product ID (PID). Additionally, this article discusses the Product ID numbers that cannot be used, such as OEM or earlier versions of Works.
Note Online registration in Works will only accept the e-mail address that you used to create a Microsoft Passport Network account.

http://www.passport.comThe Product ID appears either at the end of the installation or when you start Works for the first time. If you did not write this number down, you can use the Help menu to locate this number.
