SYMPTOMSAfter you configure Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 to use a non-U.S. currency number grouping format such as # ###,00, an error occurs. This error occurs when you try to enter fractional sales quotas for a Microsoft CRM user account. For example, this error occurs when you enter a fractional sales quota such as 0,10. This problem occurs in the U.S. English version of Microsoft CRM 1.2. When the error occurs, you receive the following error message: "An Error has occurred. For more information, contact your system administrator." CAUSEThis error occurs when you try to set a fractional sales quota for a Microsoft CRM user account where one of the following conditions is true:
RESOLUTIONMicrosoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 904435
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904435/
)
Update Rollup 2 is available for Microsoft CRM 1.2
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, you can return the currency format to the U.S. format. Returning the currency format to the U.S. format lets you enter a fractional sales quota for Microsoft CRM user accounts. (The U.S. currency format is #,###.00.) MORE INFORMATIONSteps to reproduce the problemTo reproduce the problem, you must use a Microsoft CRM user account that has the Administrator role and that also has a Microsoft CRM license. If you need detailed instructions to perform one of the steps in this procedure, see the Microsoft CRM 1.2 User's Guide.
