You open a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) in Word from a USB floppy disk drive on a Microsoft Windows-based terminal (WBT) client, Then, you save the changes to the document. When you do this, the changes are not saved. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error.
After you close the error message, the document is changed to read-only.

This problem may occur if you run Citrix MetaFrame on the network.

To work around this problem, do not open the Word document from the USB floppy disk drive on the Windows-based terminal (WBT) client. Instead, copy the file to a network location before you open the document in Word. After you save your changes to the document, copy the document back to the USB floppy disk drive.
