This article describes the Microsoft Office Project 2003 issue that is fixed in the Project 2003 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix package that is dated October 6, 2004.

Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

You cannot view a custom project guide in Microsoft Office Project 2003 after you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. When you try to view the custom project guide, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
The page is attempting to display information from the site res"//shdoclc/syntax.htm#pgcontent://spt.htm/. You have not identified this site as a trusted site in Internet Explorer.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

This hotfix is a Microsoft Office Project 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) hotfix. To install the hotfix, you must have Project 2003 SP1 installed.
