FIX: Incorrect file is pinned after you install the update in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 837417 in Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0d

SYMPTOMS

After you install the following update to Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0d, a problem occurs:

After you install the previous update, Visual SourceSafe pins the incorrect file. Visual SourceSafe actually pins the next file in the list of files. You may also receive the following error message when you try to pin or to unpin at the command line:
Project your project name has been destroyed and cannot be rebuilt.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
