Description of Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2a

Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2a (SP2a) contains significant security enhancements, stability improvements, and performance improvements. Some of the fixes that are included with Project Server 2003 SP2a were previously released in separate updates. Project Server 2003 SP2a combines the previously released fixes into one update.

Known issues after the installation of the service pack

• After you install a Microsoft Office service pack, you are unexpectedly prompted to restart the computer.

Removal information

There is no option to remove this download by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel. To remove Project Server 2003 SP2a from the computer, you must remove Project Server 2003 and then reinstall Project Server 2003 from the original Project Server 2003 CD-ROM.

How to determine whether the service pack is installed

The service pack contains files that have the versions that are listed in the following table.Notes

• The version number of the pds.dll file that is included with Project Server SP2 is 11.2005.0.3801. The version number of the pds.dll file that is included with Project Server SP2a is 11.2005.0.4110.
• The version number of the pjsvradc.dll file that is included with Project Server SP2 is 11.2005.0.3801. The version number of the pjsvradc.dll file that is included with Project Server SP2a is 11.2005.0.4110.
