Description of the update for Office 2003: February 8, 2005

This Microsoft Office 2003 update allows Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 to display the value of the Turkish Lira in both the old and the new Lira formats.

Note This update only resolves this issue in the Turkish or English version of FrontPage 2003.

List of issues that the update fixes

The Update for Office 2003 (KB887980) fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The value of the Turkish Lira (TL) is not displayed in the old TL format and in the New Turkish Lira (YTL) format in FrontPage 2003.

FrontPage 2003 displays the value of the Turkish Lira only in TL format. When you add a currency value in FrontPage 2003, there is no option to configure the currency value in the old TL format and in the new New Turkish Lira YTL format.

Installation details

To resolve the Turkish Lira issue that is described in the "List of issues that the update fixes" section, you must do each of the following:

• Install Update for Office 2003 (KB 887980) on the computer that is running Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003.
• Install the Security Update for Windows SharePoint Services (KB887981) on the computer that is running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services.

If you update your administrative installation point and recache and reinstall Office 2003 on client computers, you can run a command line that includes the REINSTALL=[list of features] property. This property specifies whether you want to reinstall specific components of the Update for Office 2003 (KB887980) from the administrative image. For the Update for Office 2003 (KB887980), the value for [list of features] is Optionally, you can substitute the parameter REINSTALL=ALL to reinstall all Microsoft Office components on the client computer.
