FIX: Values for the Image URL and Alternate text properties in an Ad contain random and incorrect data on a Commerce Server 2002 Web site

SYMPTOMS

You create a new Ad in Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 with the Type property under the Ad Display section set to Image, and then you save the Ad. You open the Ad, and then you change the Type property to NonClickable-Image. When you visit the Commerce Server 2002 Web site, the Image URL and Alternate text properties contain random and incorrect data.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
