SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Outlook Web Access stops responding when a user tries to open an e-mail message in the Drafts folder. When the user tries to open the e-mail message, the IIS Admin Service (Inetinfo.exe) unexpectedly crashes on the Microsoft Exchange computer that the user's mailbox is located on. This problem occurs in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you install this hotfix. However, you must restart the following services after you install this hotfix:
  • Microsoft Exchange Information Store
  • World Wide Web Publishing Service
  • Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
  • Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine
  • HTTP SSL
  • IIS Admin Service
