SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Exchange Profile Update (ExProfre) tool fails. Additionally, an error that is similar to the following is logged in the Exchange Profile Update tool log file if you have verbose logging enabled:

[14:19:51] Error: Drive:\df7408\deployment\src\autoprof\mapi.cxx(1698): CMAPI::UpdateDefaultProfileProperties()
"SetProps failed"

CAUSE

Microsoft Outlook profiles that have specific properties may cause the Exchange Profile Update tool to fail.
