SYMPTOMS

After you set up Money 2005 or later versions to download your online information, the following symptoms occur:
A duplicate account is created and the transactions are automatically accepted.
The Payee will appear exactly as it appears on the bank Web site.
The Memo field is blank.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the connectivity for the Financial Institution is provided by Yodlee and is not an Open Financial Exchange (OFX) statement download. The duplicate account is designed to enable the account to receive online information automatically.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, merge the duplicate account with the original account, and then download the account transactions. To merge an account, follow these steps:
1.On the Account List page, click Merge duplicate accounts.
2.Locate the old account in the list.

Note If you do not see your old account in the list on the left, Money considers both accounts to be set up for Online Service. To be able to merge the two accounts, one of the accounts must be considered Offline and one of the accounts must be considered Online. You may have to export the data from the old account and then import the data into the new account. For more information about how to export and import account information in Microsoft Money, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

3.Click the drop down arrow that is next to the old account, and then select the new account from the list.

Note Read the information that appears on the screen. Money will indicate that there may be duplicate transactions between certain dates. This is based off of the information that has just been downloaded from Yodlee. If the dates of those transactions overlap with the dates of transactions that are currently in the Money file, you will have to make sure you delete the duplicates as soon as the merge is complete.
4.Click OK.
You will receive a message that states that the merge was successful.

As mentioned in step 3, this process may cause some duplicate transactions. After you delete the duplicate transactions, perform another online update to make sure that you have all the latest transactions. To download the latest transactions again, follow these steps:
1.Click Tools, point to Internet Updates, click Update Now.
2.If you have any selections under Account Transactions, click to select the appropriate check boxes, and then make sure that your sign in information is entered.
3.Click Update.
The transactions should be downloaded, and then you can match those transactions with existing transactions in your register.
