Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

When you search the portal site in the Japanese version of SharePoint Portal Server 2003, you receive the following error message:
All the search terms in the query are very common or not recognized, and were removed from your query. Modify your query and try again.
This problem may occur if the source group name of the content source is only one character long. SharePoint Portal Server 2003 incorrectly processes the name of the source group as a noise word if the name is only one character long. The following is an example of a scenario where you may experience this problem:
1. You modify the source group name of a content source so that the name is only one character long.
2. You create a search scope that includes the content source.
3. You search the portal site by using the search scope.
