SYMPTOMS

If you use a WMI event notification query to monitor file permission changes on a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based computer, the WMI event notification query does not detect the file permission changes.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the access mask of the change event object is empty.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information
