FIX: You receive an error message when you enter a single quotation mark in the display text of a shared attachment from the resource gallery in Content Management Server

SYMPTOMS

When you enter a single quotation mark in the display text of a shared attachment from the resource gallery in Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 Service Pack 1a (SP1a), you may receive a JavaScript error message that is similar to the following:
Expected ')'
Note This problem does not occur when you use a single quotation mark in the display text of a local attachment from a local computer or a networked computer.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
