INTRODUCTION

This article describes the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 problems that are fixed in the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix package that is dated December 30, 2004.

The name of the user who created an area appears in the search results instead of the name of the user who is the contact for the area in SharePoint Portal Server 2003

This hotfix package also fixes the following problem that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

A problem occurs when you use the Advanced Search feature in SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to search for documents that have a property that contains certain Chinese Simplified (CHS) characters. Documents that match your search criteria are not returned in the search results. This problem occurs if the characters are incorrectly processed by the CHS word breaker in SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
