It is similar to a rough draft of a paper because it is not quite complete, but the basic concept is in position. Therefore, some features may not be fully functional.

A3: Enabling students and teachers to use Student Essentials and to provide feedback on it before its actual release is required to make sure that we create resources that are useful for schoolwork. This version of Student Essentials is intended for evaluation purposes only.

Q4: Can I share the alpha release of Student Essentials?

A4: No. The alpha release of Student Essentials is available only to participants in the Student Essentials for Microsoft Office 2003 Editions Technology Access Program (TAP).

Q5: The Student Tools menu does not appear in Microsoft Word, in Microsoft PowerPoint, or in Microsoft Excel. Why?

A5: Quit all Microsoft Office 2003 programs that are running. You should see the Student Tools menu when you restart the Office 2003 programs.

Q6: How do I install the final release of Student Essentials?

A6: After you receive the final release of Student Essentials, remove the alpha release version. See Q7 for more information. After you remove the alpha release version, you can use the Setup Wizard to install the final release of Student Essentials.

Q7: How do I remove Student Essentials?

To remove Student Essentials from your computer, follow these steps:

1.	Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2.	In the Currently installed programs list, click Microsoft Student Essentials, and then click Remove.
