You receive an error message when you try to save a Web page that contains a photo gallery Web component in SharePoint Designer 2007, in FrontPage 2003, or in FrontPage 2002
If you try to save a Web page that contains a photo gallery Web component in Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007, in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003, or in Microsoft FrontPage 2002, you may experience the following symptoms:
The Web page is not saved.
You receive the following error message:
To save this page and photo gallery, open a FrontPage based web site, and save the page to that site.
To determine the unique number that is associated with the message that you receive, press CTRL+SHIFT+I. The following number appears in the lower-right corner of this message:
To work around this issue, create a new Web site, and then save a Web page that contains a photo gallery Web component to the site. To do this, follow these steps, as appropriate for the product that you are using.
Open your SharePoint Designer 2007 Web site. If you do not have a SharePoint Designer 2007 Web site, you must create one. To do this, follow these steps:
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Web Site.
In the New task pane, click General, and then click One Page Web Site.
Click OK to close the Web Site dialog box.
With your new SharePoint Designer 2007 Web site open, create and then save a Web page that contains a photo gallery Web component. To do this, follow these steps:
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Page.
On the New task pane, click General.
Click HTML, and then click OK.
On the Insert menu, click Web Component.
In the Insert Web Component dialog box, click Photo Gallery under Component type.
Under Choose a Photo Gallery Option, click the type of gallery that you want, and then click Finish.
In the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box, click Add on the Pictures tab to add the pictures that you want in your photo gallery.
After you add the pictures, click OK to close the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box.
On the File menu, click Save As to save your new Web page to your SharePoint Designer Web site.
Open your FrontPage Web site. If you do not have a FrontPage Web site, you must create one. To do this, follow these steps:
On the File menu, click New.
On the New task pane, click One page Web site under New Web site.
In the Web Site Templates dialog box, click the type of Web page that you want. For example, on the General tab, click One Page Web Site.
Note To change the location of your new FrontPage Web site, either type the path of the location that you want in the Specify the location of the new Web site box or click Browse under Options.
Click OK to close the Web Site Templates dialog box.
With your new FrontPage Web site open, create and then save a Web page that contains a photo gallery Web component. To do this, follow these steps:
On the File menu, click New.
On the New task pane, click Blank page under New page.
On the Insert menu, click Web Component.
In the Insert Web Component dialog box, click Photo Gallery under Component type.
Under Choose a Photo Gallery Option, click the type of gallery that you want, and then click Finish.
On the Pictures tab of the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box, click Add to add the pictures that you want in your photo gallery.
After you add the pictures, click OK to close the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box.
On the File menu, click Save As to save your new Web page to your FrontPage Web site.
