SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5, you try to list the files that are on a Linux server that is running Samba from a
Korn shell. When you use the ls -l
command to list the files, you notice that all files appear as directories. Note The files correctly appear when you use either the dir command at a command prompt or Microsoft Windows Explorer. RESOLUTION A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
